A Lifetime of Opportunities
Joining a fraternity or sorority will not only benefit your collegiate experience, but also the rest of your life as membership in your organization is for a lifetime! Upon graduation, the world will be brimming with opportunities for you. Some of these opportunities include being involved with your organization through volunteering to work with collegiate branches as a chapter advisor or national officer as well as being active in a local alumni chapter. Alumni chapters for fraternities and sororities are active all over the country, and even the world! These chapters are geographically based and made up of members who attended different colleges throughout North America , but have one very important commonality: they are members of the same fraternity or sorority. These chapters will be a valuable resource to you as you embark on your post-college life—providing support wherever you may end up. And no matter where you go after college, your fraternity or sorority at The University of Arizona will always be your home away from home, especially at Homecoming! We are proud of the many outstanding individuals who have not only been members of The University of Arizona community, but fellow Greeks as well. Each year we recognize an outstanding Greek alumnus at the Annual Greek Awards Ceremony with the Order of Omega Hall of Fame award. Past recipients of this honor include Senator Barry Goldwater, Senator Doug Holsclaw, Swede Johnson, Paula Van Ness, and Edith Auslander, Vice President and Senior Associate to the President of the University of Arizona Melissa Vito and Dean of Students Carol Thompson.
